On January the 10th, 2012, the unthinkable happened. A horrific car accident claimed the lives of my husband and both our children. I was admitted to the intensive care unit with serious injuries.
Five weeks after the accident, when I recovered somewhat from my injuries to be able to attend the memorial service, the Lord made a promise to me that I would sing a song of praise again.
I firmly believe that the Lord spared my life in the accident so that I could write this book, and share with others my emotional journey to healing and how the Lord carried me and provided for me until I could sing a song of praise again.
My sincere wish is that each person who reads this book, will be touched, encouraged and inspired by my story; that every reader will read into the fact that, despite the enormous loss, pain and suffering I had endured, a golden thread of grace and hope is woven throughout my life story; that you will get a new perspective on your own pain and suffering; that you will persevere in walking your journey of pain; that you will find growth within this painful process in order to find your calling and fulfil your life's purpose.
I pray that you will receive grace on your journey towards healing; that a rainbow will appear after the storm and that you too, will be singing a song of praise once more.
“If you only carry one thing throughout your entire life, let it be hope. Let it be hope that better things are always ahead. Let it be hope that you can get through the toughest of times. Let it be hope that you are stronger than any challenge that comes your way. Let it be hope that you are exactly where you are meant to be right now, and that you are on the path to where you are meant to be . . . Because during these times, hope will be the very thing that carries you through.”
